The Continuous Improvement Manager is primarily responsible for facilitating change and diagnosing business performance issues, providing support and guidance forimprovement activities across all business functions. You must have excellent Lean Manufacturing experience.Aligning and embedding the related methodologies, processes and tools to deliver business results.You must have extensive Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement experience

Continuous Improvement Manager will be able to provide a proven track record of excellent Leadership/ People Management skills and demonstrate a strong background of managing change.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Continuous Improvement Manager·will coordinate and report all continuous improvement projects and initiatives throughout the company.

Develop and refine KPI’s to monitor manufacturing operation performance.
Develop value stream maps within the manufacturing area.
Develop lean improvement plans and schedules.
Participate in daily performance review meetings with cross functional teams.
Standardisation of work instructions, operational processes and procedures.
Improve manufacturing processes through Kaizen workshops and lean manufacturing techniques.
Implementation of visual shop floor management processes.
Work with department managers to drive improvement initiatives using cross functional teams.
Develop / implement new continuous improvement steering group and run monthly update meetings.
Support process engineering: process flow / single piece flow / lean activities.
Work with teams to identify and eliminate waste of all descriptions.
Support work based teams / yield improvement teams etc.
Encourage and develop ideas at all levels within the organisation.
The Continuous Improvement Manager will work with engineers to design and implement improvements within press shop / sheet prep / shears / clean room & mould shop.
Developing and implementing improvements to eliminate operational wastes in the process, improving delivery Performance,production capacity, operational costs, and quality.
Train teams in lean manufacturing techniques.
Support customer driven initiatives.
Implement and support teams to achieve 6S goals and objectives.
Support and drive any other improvement activities throughout the facility.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

·Excellent knowledge Lean, process improvement tools, techniques and principles, includingStandardized Work and Problem Solving Methodologies, Value stream Mapping, SIPOC,Extensive Manfacturing engineering experience

·Excellent organisation, planning, and analytical problem solving skills.

·The Continuous Improvement Manager will have experience in leading kaizen activities.

·Strong statistical skills, along with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point and an advanced user of Excel.

·Highly approachable with good interpersonal and leadership skills that encourage and motivate with a proven track record of building strong customer relationships.

·Demonstrate ability to work without close supervision and maintain high level ofmotivation“Hands-on” technical skills, and good communication skills.

·Proven experience in a continuous improvement role.

£40,000+ +per annum

Hours of work – Mon to Thurs, 8am to 4.30pm and Fri, 8am to 3pm
