Quality Assurance Engineer

Global Manufacturer

Support the development of existing and new products, solutions and services into the business to help provide best in class performance and operational excellence.

Responsible for monitoring configuration and service processes using QA methodologies to proactively identify issues, and to ensure they are fully documented, tracked, and resolved.

Key Responsibilities:

·Provide quality engineering support to the New Product Introduction process, working closely with all stakeholders to ensure compliance

oReview new product specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback

oCoordinate New Product Introduction from through design / development cycle

·Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured reports and test plans

·Support development and implementation of systems to guarantee Quality of processes

·Support external factory audits (ISO / TUV / VCA)

·Control and monitor activities related to Quality Management System (QMS)

·Coordination of process audits to proactively identify issues

·Coordination of on-site Supplier Quality Audits

·Coordination of Quality issues with relevant departments or suppliers

·Support implementation of appropriate corrective / preventative actions for issues

·Support the Quality team with day to day issues

·Assist with Software testing / Validation

·Establish and co-ordinate Incoming QC processes

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

·Degree qualified with a proven track record of quality assurance within a manufacturing operation

·Strong leader with excellent Interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills

·Experience of managing concurrent multiple products through a New Product Implementation process

·Knowledge of ISO 9001 and experience in implementation

·Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes

·Must be customer focused, with a “customer first” mentality

·Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills

·Hands-on experience with automated testing tools

·Ability to work to tight schedules and deliver in full

·Must be able to demonstrate achievement in a similar role

·Ability to travel at short notice both in UK and Europe
•Full driving license
•Travel to work from Newport, Cwmbran, Bridgend, Pontypridd, Cardiff
