Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician (Electrical Biased)

International Manufacturer

Work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. You will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company. Process Manufacturer
£Competitive Days role
·Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as centrifugal, progressive cavity & positive displacement pumps, steam systems, refrigeration system, vacuum transport systems, mixers, conveyors, and compressors. Electrical Maintenance
·Repair or replace control devices such as temperature/level controllers, switches, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, inverters, motors etc. as needed

·Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.

·Able to set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools and other metal working equipment.

·Participates in plant safety, health and environmental programs.

·Completed an indentured apprenticeship in an appropriate trade.

·Minimum of ONC or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline.

·Qualified to 16th / 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations

·Have at least 5 years experience working within an electrical maintenance role with basic knowledge of mechanical and instrumentation systems.

·Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.

·Ability to write detailed repair reports as well as good verbal communication.

·Experience in the operation of process plant and refrigeration systems are an asset.

The position is on a day shift pattern Mon to Fri 8.00am – 4.30pm and on a rotating standby rotor giving 24/7 maintenance support to production.

Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use SAP maintenance software to input data and research parts.
