Sales Office Manager £Competitive

•Leading International Manufacturer
•daily running of the Sales Office, including Export
•You must have extensive experience in a similar Senior role possibly in a Manufacturing or Engineering business
•Responsible for co-ordinating operations between Internal Sales, External Sales and other departments, notably Production, Technical, Transport
•Monitor day to day duties and performance of Sales, Customer Service and Reception staff, assisting with prioritising as necessary
•To discuss and assist in commercial decision making
•To review, develop, support and deliver training and development of the Sales Office team
•Develop, and ensure compliance to, all processes, procedures and work instructions relevant to Sales Office and it’s interfaces, including but not limited to compliance with ISO9001
•Sales Office Manager will act as a conduit from the market to the rest of the business, providing immediate and ongoing feedback on specific and general information from the market
•Responsible for participation, input and decision making, from Sales perspective, in Planning process
•Play full part in achieving Company’s Sales targets

The Sales Office Manager will develop a strong, effective, efficient Sales/Customer Service team, with the high level of customer service and loyalty needed to meet targets and move the business forward.

Allocate, assist and manage day to day activities within the Sales Office.

Ensure all staff have a commercial awareness, are considering commercial issues and the changing market when preparing quotations and dealing with customer services enquiries.

Ensure all quotations are quickly and accurately produced and sent to customers. Ensure all orders are entered accurately and on time to ensure customer requirements are met.

Ensure all incoming calls are answered with minimal delay and customer needs are actioned appropriately. Closely monitor and manage Export projects.

Sales Office Manager will ensure Export sales function is effective, including quoting, shipping, special requirements

The office environment is very busy, with a large number of enquiries / orders / shipments each day. It is important that the successful candidate is very well organised, decisive, intelligent and a good leader.

Able to operate at a senior level and to be credible with Customers’ senior staff

There is a very large product range and the person would need to be able to learn quickly, be inquisitive and have a technical bias

This role would suit an experienced Customer Services Manager with experience gained in a Technical or Manufacturing company
