Production Line Leader works a three shift rota pattern. Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor. You will assist the Production Supervisor to ensure production is run efficiently to meet output and quality standards.

Ensure progress/targets are updated every 60 minutes on Axapta and white boards

Production Line Leader
•Ensure 5s housekeeping standards are enforced and maintained, ensuring production areas are kept in an orderly and professional condition at all times
•Ensure line/machine operates with correct procedures, especially tool cleaning, lubrication and handling
•Ensure SOP’s are adhered to
•Commitment to overtime as and when required
•Adhere to the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and Quality procedures
•Ensure team adheres to Company policies and procedures at all times
•Providing cover in the absence of the Production Supervisor
•Ensure resources are allocated effectively and machine uptime is used to its full potential
•Complete pre-shift checks and relevant paperwork
•Brief teams on shift changeover issues and attend Production Board Meetings
•Manage breaks to ensure they are planned to match business requirements
•Cascade relevant information to teams about departmental performance
•Take an active role in any process improvement issues within the department, or in other departments if requested
•Be flexible and able to support the needs of the business as and when required

The Production Line Leader will have
•A sound understanding of production processes
•A good level of numeracy and literacy skills
•Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, you will be fully accountable for the total productivity and performance on your designated line
•The ability to use initiative and support production
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to communicate at all levels of the business
•React quickly and accurately to production changes
•Ability to motivate and inspire employees
•£8.96 per hour. Each shift is 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week over a 3 week rota pattern as follows;
-Days, Monday to Friday 06:00 – 14:00

-Nights, Sunday to Thursday 22:00 – 06:00

-Afternoons, Monday to Friday 14:00 – 22:00

Travel to work from Brecon, Ebbw Vale, Pontypool, Cwmbran, Abergavenny, Tredegar
