Electrical biased Maintenance Engineer.
You will be responsible for preventative maintenance on machines and equipment, and responding to emergency machine and equipment break downs throughout the plant. The successful candidate will have involvement with new design, installation and movements of existing machines. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring machines and equipment on site are safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, promote and carry out preventative maintenance
Installation of new machines and equipment
Overhaul, upkeep and repair of all plant machinery
Electrical installation
Review and advise on engineering requirements and drawings
Work with and install single phase / three phase electrical circuits
Actively promote safe working practices
Work with and coordinate contractors
Undertake repairs and servicing to the highest standard in accordance with work requested and pre-determined specifications
Fault finding, testing and the removal or adjustment of existing fittings, fixtures and parts
Where a detailed specification is not provided determine the cause of the fault and then undertake the most cost effective solution to remedy the defect
Effective communication including keeping management and relevant parties aware and seeking advice and assistance when required
Any other duty as may be required commensurate with the grading of the post and the skill of the post holder

The successful candidate will be qualified to HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering.
Salary 13.56 per hour (12.91 ph + 0.65 Shift Allowance per hour)
Benefits X1 annual salary for death in service, 1% employers contributory pension scheme.
Holidays 20 per annum + 8 days BH
Hours of work 3 shift rota, days (6am-2pm, Mon- Fri), Afternoons (2pm- 10pm, Mon- Fri) and Nights (10pm- 6am, Sun- Thurs)
Overtime in line with company thresholds
Travel to work from Pontypool, Merthyr, Ebbw Vale, Cwmbran, Brecon, Newport
