Production Manager
•Global Manufacturer
•Achievement of Key Business Metrics for assigned areas of responsibility. Automotive experience would be ideal
•Efficient running of assigned product areas ensuring critical success factors are met.
•Responsibility for customer order fulfilment from generation of production plans and building in adherence to plan.
•Change Agent for continuous improvement of production process incorporating lean principles & Six Sigma.
•Ensure a high level of visual management is attained within areas of responsibility.
•Ensure production targets are achieved within areas of responsibility.
•Ensure efficiency & productivity targets are met.
•Control of labour and discipline within areas of responsibility
•Ensure company procedures and code of conduct is followed at all times.
•Responsible for maintaining safe working practices in compliance with company Health & Safety procedures
•Deployment of key business metrics to each product line
•Ensure Standard Work practices are followed diligently
•Scrap control & adherence to standard operating & control procedures.
•Team building & resolving conflicts within a team

•Product Line Labour Variance Control/ Visual Management/Customer Satisfaction
•Quality/Order Fulfilment
•Production Output and adherence to plan
•Health & Safety compliance at all levels – & ensuring legislation is adhered to.
•Conduct probationary reviews & appraisals.
•Team building & resolving conflicts within a team
•Maintain daily discipline levels within production area/ Taking part in grievance & disciplinary procedures

SKILLS AND QUALITIFICATIONS

·Degree in Mech Engr, materials technology, business

management, industrial \ process engineering

·At least 3 years experience in this role

·IOSHH Safety Certificate

·Working knowledge of ISO 9000 QC Systems

·Working knowledge of ISO 14001 Environment Systems

·Previous experience at management level in a manufacturing \ automotive environment.

·Ability to grasp complex concepts easily

·Excellent attention to detail

·Excellent, strong planning, negotiating and organisational skills

·Ability to motivate, inspire co-workers, colleagues & others

·Self-confident and a good listener

·Systematic and logical approach to duties and challenges

·Good judgement.

·Project Management skills & experience

·A desire to want to drive change with flexibility towards working hours when needed or as requested.

·Conversant with Microsoft Office

·Knowledge of lean/six sigma

·Ability to multi task and work under pressure

·Hands on approach, leading by example, displaying good work ethic.

·Travel to work from Merthyr, Pontypool, Newport, Abergavenny, Cwmbran, ,Ebbw Vale, Tredegar
