Technical Production Engineer

Managing the engineering change order (ECO) process which includes liaising with overseas factories and communicating at a technical level to successfully implement ECOís back at base.

The Technical Production Engineer will also play an integral role in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to the departments, working closely with the QA team to review, analyse and modify existing documentation to meet business requirements and feeding back to parent factory seeking approval.

The new vacancy Technical Production Engineer will sit within the existing Production/Project Engineering team which also includes operating system image deployment, production maintenance and project coordination.

Emphasis on process improvement is important and the ability to work fast and efficiently whilst continually multi-tasking to drive efficiency for configuration facility. Working closely with all departments, the successful candidate will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills whilst implementing sustainable business improvements and provide proven experience of engineering skills.

Key Responsibilities: Technical Production Engineer

Manufacturing/configuration experience

ECO management & implementation

Process initiative for New product introduction processes

Writing/editing and controlling instructions for configuration operators to adhere to

Production support and maintenance, understanding of Bill of Materialís (BOM) structuring

End to End continuous improvement of all areas of configuration and service

Training of Operatives to enhance quality and efficiency, Engineering Improvement/Change

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

Experience with working in a fast and pressurized target driven environment

Experience working with system change notifications / engineering change documentís

Experience in Introducing new products to production environment

SharePoint and Oracle experience would be advantageous, Hardware knowledge is required

Proven skills in holding meetings (written & oral communication)

Appropriate academic and (or) vocational qualification

Multi-tasking is essential for the Technical Production Engineer

Business fundamentals such as Kaizen mentality, 5S knowledge and LEAN manufacturing

Potential international travel could be required as part of this role

Salary: Circa £26k - £28k depending on the level of experience
Working hours: 38.75 per week
Working Times: Monday - Friday 8:15 - 16:15 with a flexible working scheme available.
Basic annual holiday entitlement is 24 days (April to March) plus 8 bank holidays
