Engineering Maintenance Manager must have strong Mechanical Maintenance experience and have a Mechanical Engineering degree or the equivalent. Experience in a similar role would be ideal
Ensure maximum plant availability to laid down standards of output and quality by providing an effective Engineering Service 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
Maintenance shutdowns are planned and managed within a time frame that minimises loss of annual production also within budget targets.
Manages human and financial resources cost effectively as a contribution to the Department’s cost/profit improvement program.
To facilitate the achievement of planned output levels and the changing operating demands, recruit, train, develop and manage subordinates effectively.
In order to reduce the incidence of accidents and dangerous occurrences:
-ensure compliance with Health and Safety Legislation, Statutory Regulations and the Company Health and Safety Policy.
Engineering Maintenance Manager will ensure that safe systems of work are practised at all times and that any accidents, major injuries, dangerous occurrences are fully investigated, recorded and where necessary, reported to the HSE as per the company procedure and action taken to prevent a recurrence.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES Engineering Maintenance Manager
Principal standards by which you will be judged – performance will be satisfactory when:
-the production output is at or better than budget and that machine availability is at or better than the Production plan.
-Labour and materials are controlled in line with current and ongoing activity levels.
-Improvements in safety and implementation of legislation to achieve results below the set standards.
-Develop and implement subordinates individual development programs.
-KPI system in place.
Areas of significant impact, resources available, output.
-Design output of as required by the business.
-Maintenance Budget as agreed
-Maintenance staff –personnel
Decision / actions that be taken without reference to a Superior.
-To take decisions with regard to the availability and safety of plant and equipment
-To schedule maintenance / production shuts within plan and budgets
