Production Planning & Control Manager must ensure the operational production department metrics are achieved in a safe, timely, quality, cost efficient and productive manner. Manage production planning and scheduling for all manufacturing lines, raw material receipts and customer delivery. Also the physical organisation of work holding areas both internal and external and for the safe and effective operation. Lead the planning and logistics management of all subcontract manufacturing ensuring optimum operational performance. Reporting to the Plant Customer Planning & Operations Logistics Manager
·Lead the production planning, scheduling and inventory marshal team
·Plant Operational Production Planning and Logistics management, lead the planning and logistics operational interface with the Manufacturing Managers & Business Unit Managers
·Responsible for the logistical organisation of daily shipments to achieve revenue & OTIF recognition in accordance with plant daily targets

·Will assist with the creation of production plans quarterly/monthly using work to lists for operations and the Laboratory, and must regularly review in line with yield losses, customer requirements and all other contributory factors
·Must continuously improve planning of manufacturing process to reduce lead times and improve product flow throughout the plant
·Accountable for the Plant manufacturing planning process to promote smooth and predictable flow of material.
·Must implement and review an effective process post release of cards to shop-floor to ensure 100 % OTIF
·Management of documents to support sub-contract activities once through key resources, working with WPR operators, shift and manufacturing management
·Accountable for training and development for the department, creating and authorising competency assessment where required
·Accountable for transport logistics and budget adherence
·Will review current duties and responsibilities and identify improved process responsiveness and capability
·Accountable for inventory management.Identifying opportunities to maximise utilisation of raw material by working with Technical and sales
·Will be responsible for dealing with all complaints relating to certification, paperwork and invoicing, utilising a cross functional team to achieve company targets.
·Manage the FLT fleet for the plant ensuring the business requirements are met at the lowest cost.

* Bachelor’s Degree; Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering degree highly preferred

* 7+ years Production Planning and Control, Logistics related experience
* Proven production planning leadership experience in a complex manufacturing
* Proven experience of leading, coaching & developing production planning teams
* Demonstrated professional advancement in a manufacturing environment
* Ability to work successfully at and with all levels, leadership to detail
* Influencing skills, influencing without executive authority across the business
* Proven performance management skills
* * Intermediate to advanced use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
* High energy level and able to work flexible hours
* Able to motivate, coach and develop teams to meet performance requirements
